Welcome to ENGR tutorials!
My name is Travis, and I will be your ANSYS instructor. I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. in Applied Engineering. For the past two years I have taught undergraduate and graduate level Finite Element Analysis courses. In addition, I have led university research in vertical-axis wind turbine technology with the use of ANSYS Fluent. A few of our recent publications:
“Investigation of Aerodynamic Performance of Helical Shape Vertical-Axis Wind Turbine Models with Various Number of Blades Using Wind Tunnel Testing and Computational Fluid Dynamics.” (Submitted to IMECE 2016 ASME Conference).
“Numerical Investigation of Novel Design of Vertical-Axis Wind Turbines for Performance Improvement.” PowerEnergy2016 ASME Conference.
“Design and Fabrication of Experimental Set-Up for Vertical and Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine Model Testing in Subsonic Wind Tunnel.” 2016 ASEE Southeastern Section Conference.
Feel free to ask any questions regarding these online courses in the discussion section or by email at [email protected]
